What is a 'door'?
A door corresponds to one unit in your condo: an apartment, a commercial space, a private parking spot, etc. It's the base unit used in most condo legislation in Quebec.
How is the total price calculated?
Simply multiply the number of doors in your condo by the chosen rate. For 20 doors on the monthly plan: 20 × $2.99 = $59.80/month. Annually: 20 × $29.90 = $598/year. The syndic or property manager pays the invoice for the entire association.
Why choose the annual plan?
By choosing the annual plan at $29.90/door/year instead of monthly, you pay the equivalent of 10 months and get 2 months free. For a 20-door condo, that's a saving of $119.60 per year.
